  • When registering a player for a team, select the appropriate division registration based on the player's birth year.
    • Fill out or confirm the adult info and submit.
    • Once the first adult info is complete, you will be able to add a second adult ora child.
    • Please use your childsgiven name on his/her Birth Certificate. Nicknames, if used, can be added as additional information.
    • Click the register button next to the childs name you would like to register. Adults do not need to register themselves.

2019-2020 Learn-to-Play Session #2

 

2019-2020 Learn-to-Play Session #2 (12/07/2019 - 1/19/2019)

This program runs from Dec 7th through Jan 19th

This entry-level development program is designed for the Under-8 first time skater with less than 1 full season of on-ice skating experience

 

The Learn-To-Skate/Learn-To-Play (LTP) program promotes on-ice hockey fun and enjoyment while teaching the basic skills of balance, getting up from the ice, and fluid skating strides.   Following the USA Hockey ADM Model, this beginner hockey program strives to encourage a love for the sport in an introductory environment which utilizes fun games in a small-area station-training setting.  The LTP program meets every Saturday and Sunday morning for a 1-hour small area drill and games development practice, sharing the ice with the Mite Development Program.  

During the season coaches will evaluate the player's progress and make recommendations to move up to the Mite Development level.  For additional details, click here.

All skaters must be registered with USA Hockey before completing a WHYHA registration.

If the skater does not have a current USA Hockey registration confirmation number,
please go to USA Hockey's website to register.  USA Hockey registration fee is between $10 and $50 depending on the skater's age.

2019-2020 Mite Development Session #2

 

2019-2020 Mite Development Program Session #2 

This program runs from Dec 7th through Jan 19th

This second-level development program is designed for the Under-8 skaters with less than 2 full seasons of on-ice skating experience who have completed the LTP program.  

During the first two weeks of the season coaches will be evaluating the skill levels of the players to determine the best developmental team (LTP, Development,House) for each individual player.  As the season progresses coaches will evaluate the player's progress and make any other recommendations on movement as appropriate.  For additional details, click here.

The Mite Development program promotes on-ice hockey fun and enjoyment while building on the LTP basic skill set through the introduction and development of turning, stopping, and proper striding techniques.   Following the USA Hockey ADM Model, this second-year hockey program strives to further develop the players love for the sport in a small-area station-training environment comprised of increasingly challenging obstacle courses and races, as well as fun games and challenges for the players. 

The Mite Development program meets every Saturday and Sunday morning for a 1-hour small area drill and games development practice.

All skaters must be registered with USA Hockey before completing a WHYHA registration.

2019-2020 Mite House Program

 

2019-2020 Mite House Team Registration

The Mite House Program runs from October 5th through February 27th. (Please check the schedule for dates and changes)

This third-level development program is designed for the Under-8 skaters with greater than 2 full seasons of on-ice skating experience who have completed the LTP and Mite Development programs (or similar)

During the first two weeks of the season coaches will be evaluating the skill levels of the players to determine the best developmental team (LTP, Development, House) for each individual player.    For additional details, click here.

The Mite House program continues to promote on-ice hockey fun and enjoyment through a combination of development focused practices and weekly in-house game play using our cross-ice board system; the look and feel of a real hockey game!  Increased puck-handling, shooting and power-skating activities will be employed with concentration on maintaining full-skating speed and agility.  Following the USA Hockey ADM Model, this third-year plus hockey program strives to further develop the players skating and hockey skills in an increasingly competitive environment to prepare the players for future hockey opportunities while maintaining a fun on-ice environment. 

The Mite House Program meets on weekdays most weeks and Saturday mornings for a development-focused station based practice and Sunday morning for a Cross-ice Game Day following a House League Game Schedule.  Players will be assigned to a house team during the first few weeks of the program.  The Mite House Program is an exciting opportunity to develop and play some hockey!

All skaters must be registered with USA Hockey before completing a WHYHA registration.
